Hughes-Anderson was incorporated in 1971, but the close relationships among the principals date back over prior years, when many of them worked together at one of the nation’s largest heat exchanger firms.
Immediately after incorporation, Hughes-Anderson set out to build a strong, solid organization by bringing in outstanding individuals to serve in every key position. Those individuals formed a team with capabilities that encompassed every aspect of shell and tube heat transfer technology.
Hughes-Anderson has the in-house expertise to provide all the necessary functions for thermal rating, mechanical design, drafting and shop fabrication. We have a completely integrated computer system that includes thermal design by HTRI or our own program, mechanical design linked to our customized AutoCAD system for generating outline and shop drawings, as well as shop scheduling, job cost and time accumulation, and accounting functions.
Stability is measured by a variety of gauges, not the least of which is the longevity of our relationships with our customers and suppliers. Our employees’ loyalty is also a measure of Hughes-Anderson’s stability. Approximately one half of our employees have over 20 years of service with the Company. Hughes-Anderson is 100% employee owned.
Our key employees have participated and held responsible positions in industry organizations such as the Tubular Exchanger Manufacturers Association (TEMA), American Petroleum Institute (API) and Heat Transfer Research Inc. (HTRI).
